Deion Sanders add transfer commitment from former SEC DE
Deion Sanders is bringing in a transfer from the SEC. The news came out on Monday.
J.J. Hawkins played college football for Ole Miss over the past two seasons. Hawkins will be in Boulder playing for Sanders in 2023. Hawkins played in four games during the 2022 season and redshirting as a freshman.

Hawkins was a former 3-star DL from the 2021 class per the 247Sports Composite. He also had offers from Arkansas and Mississippi State. Hawkins was the No. 93 DL and No. 68 prospect from his home state of Georgia in his class.
Colorado has found its next head coach in Sanders. Sanders has had no problem with roster turnover in Boulder. Over 50 players have now left the Colorado program.
The Buffaloes achieved just one win in 2022 after beating Cal in overtime.
While many players are leaving the program, some are still transferring in. Two of the more recent transfers include All-WAC DB Rodrick Ward and former Baylor WR Jaylen Ellis.
Lane Kiffin led Ole Miss to an eight-win season in 2022. The Rebels made an appearance in the Texas Bowl, but lost to Texas Tech 45-25.
