Deion Sanders and his Colorado staff have landed another commitment out of the transfer portal. The newest Buffalo pledge is a transfer from Baylor who had committed to stay in the Big 12.

Former Baylor WR Jaylen Ellis committed to West Virginia. Saturday, however, he flipped his commitment to the Buffs.

From Round Rock, Texas, Ellis was part of Baylor’s 2019 recruiting class. A 3-star prospect, he signed with the Bears over scholarship offers from 24 other schools, including Arizona, Michigan and Tennessee. Ellis has 2 remaining seasons of eligibility.

Ellis did not see the field in 2019, taking a redshirt. In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, he played in 9 games, making 1 start. He finished the 2020 season with 2 catches for 41 yards.

In 2021, Ellis played in just 2 games. He had a 3-yard reception against West Virginia.

This past season, Ellis made 5 appearances as a reserve wide receiver. He had 3 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown.
