Former Washington DB Jabbar Muhammad is leaving the Huskies for a rival program headed to the new-look Big Ten.

Muhammad — an All-Pac-12 performer and team leader for Washington — confirmed Saturday evening he is transferring to Oregon for the 2024 season. He’s another impact performer added to Dan Lanning’s Ducks in preparation for the jump to the Big Ten.

During the 2023 season, Muhammad was Washington’s team leader with 16 pass breakups and tied for the team lead with 3 interceptions. He was named a second-team All-Pac-12 performer while adding 46 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks.

During the regular-season win over Oregon, Muhammad had 3 tackles and 2 pass breakups. He delivered 2 interceptions and 4 pass breakups in a road win over Oregon State and also contributed 3 pass breakups in the College Football Playoff win over Texas.

Muhammad joins a transfer class for the Ducks that also includes former Duke defensive back Brandon Johnson and former UTSA DB Kam Alexander. Overall, Oregon’s transfer class is ranked No. 3 in the country per 247 Sports.

In addition to the transfer portal pieces, Oregon received a number of key decisions to return from draft-eligible underclassmen. Lanning has his Ducks well-positioned entering 2024 as a potential Big Ten title and Playoff contender after falling just short of the CFP in 2023.
