UCLA landed a top wide receiver via the transfer portal on Friday.

Rico Flores Jr., a California native, announced that he would transfer to the Bruins after spending 2023 with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Flores grew up in Northern California.

Flores had a solid freshman season for the Irish in 2023. The receiver came down with 27 receptions for 392 yards and 1 touchdown. However, the receiver entered the transfer portal on Dec. 4 after Notre Dame parted ways with receivers coach Chansi Stuckey.

Flores starred for Folsom High School in Folsom, CA. The receiver was originally a 4-star recruit per the 247Sports Composite. The receiver starred was ranked as the No. 31 prospect in the 2023 class and the No. 17 prospect out of the state of California.

Flores will join a UCLA team that has seen an exodus of talent this offseason. Receiver Kam Brown, QB Dante Moore, RB Keegan Jones, and more have left the Bruins. Flores joins safeties Bryan Addison and Marcus Ratcliffe as newcomers to the Bruins thus far.

UCLA will face Boise State on Saturday night to close out the 2023 season.
