UCLA lands transfer commitment from experienced DB, former Pac-12 foe
UCLA earned a commitment from ex-Oregon defensive back Bryan Addison on Tuesday evening.
Addison spent the past six seasons in Eugene, but he still has another year of eligibility remaining. He will play the 2024 campaign with the Bruins as they transition to the Big Ten next season.
Here’s Addison’s announcement:

This is a bit of a full-circle moment for Addison. He’s a Gardena, California, native who was originally committed to UCLA. He signed with the Bruins in the class of 2018, but never enrolled at UCLA. Instead, he flipped his commitment to Oregon in July of that year and has been with the Ducks ever since.
His journey with Oregon has not been a simple one. Addison converted to defensive back who began his college career as a wide receiver.
Addison’s most productive season as a defensive back at Oregon was in 2022. He totaled 30 tackles, 2 interceptions and 5 pass deflections that season. This past year, he played in only 4 games and recorded 11 tackles.
