Another week, another Defensive Player of the Week honor for Oregon State.

The Pac-12 announced on Monday that defensive back Kitan Oladapo has earned the distinction after his performance in Week 2. He follows up fellow Beaver DB Jaydon Grant, who was named the league’s Defensive POTW for Week 1 — the first time Oregon State has claimed the award in back-to-back weeks since November 2008 (Stephen Paea and Greg Laybourn).

Oladapo led Oregon State with a career-best 15 tackles to help the Beavers improve to 2-0 for the first time since 2014.  He also posted 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and a pass breakup.

The redshirt junior safety played 80 snaps in the winning effort for Oregon State, which outlasted Fresno State on the road 35-32 thanks to a 2-yard score from Jack Colletto as the clock expired.

The Beavers will look to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2014 when they host Montana State Saturday night in Portland. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
