Washington State loses standout receiver to transfer portal
Washington State lost one of its top receivers to the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon.
The player in question, former UNLV transfer Kyle Williams, exits Pullman after just 1 season with the Cougars. Williams was one of 3 800-yard receivers the Cougars put to the field this past season, finishing with 61 receptions for 842 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2023.
At 6-foot, 187 pounds Williams was likely the Cougars’ best deep-threat this past season. In 2020, Williams was named the MWC Freshman of the Year for the Rebels.
