Klay Thompson has been one of the most lethal 3-point shooting threats in NBA history since entering the league. On Friday, he added another tally to his credit in Golden State’s win over the Houston Rockets.

Thompson led all players in the game with 42 points to go with 7 rebounds and an assist, but it was his work from 3-point range that stole the show. He finished 12-for-17 from deep in the 116-101 win.

That shooting performance gives Thompson his second game of the 2022-23 season with 12+ 3-point field goals in a single game. That makes Thompson the first player in NBA history to have multiple games of at least 12 3-point field goals in a single season.

Thompson’s other game with 12 3’s in a game came on Feb. 6 in a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. So far, he has 4 games with at least 10 3-point field goals this season.
