Jake Dickert estimates wide receiver Lincoln Victory is 90-95% recovered from the ankle injury that kept him out of the UCLA loss and limited him last week.

“I think we’ll get him by Saturday, really close to where he’s at, but not quite 100%,” Dickert told reporters on Tuesday.

Victor has 28 receptions so far this season, with 361 yards and three touchdowns. He was a monster in the nonconference. In Washington State’s season opener, Victor brought in 11 receptions for 168 yards. Against Northern Colorado in Week 3, Victor had 119 yards and two touchdowns.

But he picked up a high-ankle sprain very early on in the Week 4 win over Oregon State. The bye week immediately after the Beavers’ game was fortuitously placed and Victor missed just one game. He returned last week against Arizona and four catches for 19 yards.

In the 44-6 loss to the Wildcats, tailback Nakia Watson led the team in receiving with 88 yards on five receptions. Kyle Williams brought in nine receptions for 61 yards. Outside of Victor, no one else had more than one reception.

Against one of the best pass defenses in the country, Wazzu quarterback Cameron Ward will certainly appreciate having one of his favorite targets closer to full strength.
