Caminong also announced he will not be taking his official visit to Washington this weekend as previously planned.
His departure is a big loss for the Huskies. Caminong is one of the top in-state recruits for the 2024 cycle and was a longterm commitment for Washington.
Caminong is the No. 580 overall player and the No. 37 quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 player from the state of Washington.
He attends Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds.
Caminong’s decision comes less than a week after he took an official visit to Texas A&M.
Washington is now down to 2 commits in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 7 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
