Jaxson Jones committed to Washington back in September, but the 2024 edge defender has decided to reopen his recruitment.

Jones took to Twitter Monday to announce that he has decommitted from the Huskies. It appears there’s a chance Jones could still land with Washington. The program’s logo is among those featured in the graphic accompanying Jones’ decommitment tweet. Logos for numerous other Pac-12 teams are also included.

 

Out of Yuma Catholic (Arizona), Jones is listed at 6-3, 215 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Jones is rated 3-stars, the No. 10 Arizona recruit, No. 40 edge rusher and No. 596 prospect overall in the 2024 recruiting class.

Jones is coming off of a junior year in which he logged 98 tackles (22 for loss), 17 sacks, 3 blocked field goals and 3 fumble recoveries. Highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
