Washington added a big-time quarterback to its 2024 roster on Sunday.

The Huskies earned a commitment from ex-Arizona quarterback Demond Williams Jr. Williams will follow former Arizona coach Jedd Fisch to Seattle to be apart of the Huskies’ program in 2024.

Williams shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Williams is a 4-star prospect in the class of 2024. After enrolling at Arizona earlier this month, he entered the transfer portal following Fisch’s departure to Washington. He’s the No. 257 overall player and the No. 16 quarterback in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Williams is an Arizona native. He attends Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. He’s listed at 5-foot-9, 174 pounds.

This is a big addition for Washington as it looks to rebuild its quarterback room in 2024. Michael Penix Jr. is out of eligibility and the Huskies have lost Will Rogers and Austin Mack to the transfer portal already this offseason.

Williams is now the highest-ranked member of Washington’s 2024 recruiting class.
