Tre Watson is reuniting with Kalen DeBoer. The Fresno State transfer has committed to play for the Washington Huskies.

Watson, listed at 6-5, 245 pounds,  heads to Seattle after 3 seasons at Fresno State. DeBoer recruited Watson to Fresno State and coached him as a freshman.

In 2021, Watson played in 12 games of his first season, making 2 starts. He recorded 10 catches for 134 yards.

Watson’s production dipped a bit in 2022 after DeBoer took the UW job. Playing in 8 games, with 4 starts, Watson had 8 catches for 80 yards.

In 2023, Watson had his breakout. He posted career-highs of 38 catches and 378 receiving yards, scoring his first 4 touchdowns.

Watson entered his name into the transfer portal 1 week ago. Unsurprisingly, Washington was the first offer he reported on social media. Houston, Texas A&M, Cal, UCLA and West Virginia also showed interest.

Having played 3 seasons without redshirting, Watson has 1 full season of eligibility remaining. He could use the redshirt next season if he were to play 4 games or fewer.
