Kalen DeBoer picked up another Coach of the Year honor on Friday night during an ESPN awards show as the Washington coach added to his accolades following a banner regular season and Pac-12 Championship.

DeBoer, who was Pac-12 Co-Coach of the Year in 2022, earned the same honor in 2023 after he led the Huskies to a perfect 13-0 record, including a win in the Pac-12 Championship Game, and a berth in the College Football Playoff. No. 2-seeded UW will take on No. 3 Texas in the Sugar Bowl Jan 1. in New Orleans.

During an interview on ESPN, DeBoer credited his players and staff, who helped the Huskies have a big season.

“I take this as a team honor, it’s just been a special year, and I can’t express my thanks enough for everyone who’s been a part of this journey and got us to this point in the season,” he said.
