Jedd Fisch was asked about his feelings about running out of the tunnel at Husky Stadium, and the new Washington coach admitted he hadn’t spent much time on that in the 48 hours since this move was in the works. Fisch, however, has plenty of memories of losses in the stadium.

“Well, I haven’t had much fun in this stadium, to be honest with you,” Fisch said.

Fisch then recalled how Vita Vea gave Josh Rosen a concussion on the field in Seattle in a 2017 loss for him. He then referred to the 2022 shootout, 49-39, then smiled broadly about a “tough holding penalty.”

Fisch also admitted that he has the best office view of all time, and when he sees the stadium and the water and he knows that every seat will be full.

“You can just imagine what that’s going to feel like,” Fisch said. “And running out of the tunnel, what that’s going to feel like the very first game, the jitters. Both calling the game, and running out will be at a high end.”
