Dejounte Murray, a former star Washington guard and current Atlanta Hawk, has been suspended by the NBA for Game 5 of the NBA Playoff against the Boston Celtics.

Murray is being suspended for “making inappropriate contact with and verbally abusing a game official,” according to an NBA release Monday evening. The Hawks currently trail the No. 2 seed Celtics 3-1 with Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Below is a video of Murray’s interaction with the official that led to the suspension.

Murray is currently Atlanta’s No. 2 behind star guard Trae Young. Murray is averaging 20.5 points, 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game this season.

And with how strong the Celtics are this season, not to mention the fact Boston is heading back home for Game 5, the 2021-22 NBA steal champion may have played his last game of the 2023 NBA season Sunday night.
