On Saturday, Jan. 1, Utah will play Ohio State for the Rose Bowl.

The Granddaddy of Them All will be welcoming the Utes for the first time in the game’s storied history as reward for taking down Oregon 38-10 in the Pac-12 title game. Ohio State will be without several key players, but Utah won’t care, and frankly neither will viewers once the game kicks off. The Rose Bowl is a special one.

Accordingly, the Utes will have as clean a look as possible for the game. Look good, feel good, play good, right? The Utes have the first part down, bringing out the all-white throwback unis with a little tweak to the helmet.

One of the game’s coolest little details might be that the participating teams each season get a chance to incorporate a rose into the helmet design. On the white-and-red Utah dome, it looks wonderful.

The 11th-ranked Utes (10-3) and 6th-ranked Buckeyes (10-2) square off at 2 p.m. PT on ESPN on Saturday.
