Utah has landed a commitment from Salt Lake City (Utah) Olympus safety Luke Bryant.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back announced his commitment to the program on Sunday, days after taking an official visit to campus. He also took an official visit to BYU this month and had interest from Utah State, Air Force, and Southern Utah.

According to 247Sports’ Blair Angulo, Bryant will serve on a two-year mission this summer and join the Utes ahead of the 2026 season.

Bryant doesn’t yet have a rating in the industry-generated 247 Composite, but he has been evaluated by 247Sports. He’s a 3-star recruit and the No. 182 safety in the class, according to that outlet.

During his varsity career, Bryant has thrown for 172 yards and a touchdown, run for 496 yards and eight touchdowns, caught 110 balls for 1,359 yards and 18 touchdowns, and totaled 578 yards as a return man. On defense, he posted 48 tackles and two interceptions as a senior this fall.

His best came during his junior year, when he had 45 tackles, a tackle for loss, four pass breakups, and an interception. He had 1,411 all-purpose yards that season as well.

Bryant also plays lacrosse and was a top performer on the camp circuit during the summer of 2023.

Utah now holds 14 known commitments for its 2024 class. The Early Signing Period opens on Wednesday, and Utah will look to add to a group that ranks 57th nationally. Bryant’s highlight tape can be seen below, via Hudl:
