Utah has gone into the transfer portal to land a 1,000-yard rusher.

Former Idaho RB Anthony Green took to social media on Tuesday to announce that he is taking his talents to Salt Lake City to play Power 5 football.

A former Palmdale (California) standout, Woods heads to Utah after 2 seasons with the Vandals. He played in 24 games over 2 seasons, meaning he has 2 full seasons of remaining eligibility.

Woods earned the starting spot ahead of his freshman season. He had a solid debut year, rushing 149 times for 872 yards and 3 touchdowns.

As a sophomore, Woods had a 2023 breakout. Woods’ workload increased and his production went up significantly. Woods rushed 206 times for 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns over 12 games this past season. He also added his first-carer receiving touchdown, with 15 catches for 92 yards and 1 score.

Kyle Whittingham’s squad has not had a 1,000-yard rusher since Tavion Thomas in 2021. Ja’Quinden Jackson led the way in 2023 with 742 yards on 143 carries. Jaylon Glover was next with 121 carries for 513 yards. Quarterbacks Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson each logged over 200 yards on the ground.
