Utah has its second quarterback commit of the 2025 cycle.

On Monday, Tulsa (Okla.) Union quarterback Shaker Reisig gave his verbal pledge to the Utes. A 6-foot, 200-pound passer, Reisig chose the Utes over offers from BYU, Houston, and Oklahoma State. He also reported offers from Boston College, Illinois, Memphis, Minnesota, Missouri, and Tulsa.

Reisig doesn’t yet have a rating in the industry-generated 247 Composite, though that will likely change soon now that he’s in a Power Four class. The evaluators at 247Sports have him rated as a 3-star recruit and the No. 52 quarterback prospect in the class. He’s the 11th-ranked recruit from the state of Oklahoma.

His commitment marks the first step into a new recruiting footprint for the Utes, who will soon have visibility in the Sooner State, as well as in Texas and the surrounding areas.

As a sophomore in 2022, Reisig threw for 2,656 yards and 27 touchdowns in 11 games. He completed 73% of his passes and only threw two interceptions. As a junior last fall, Reisig threw for another 2,366 yards and 25 touchdowns in nine games. He was picked off six times, but otherwise upped his completion rate to 78%.

Reisig joins Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon quarterback Wyatt Becker in the Utes’ 2025 class. You can see Reisig’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
