Utah added a piece to its 2023 haul on Wednesday, securing a commitment from former Snow College transfer tight end Dallen Bentley.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Bentley shared the news on social media. He’s expected to join the program in time for the 2023 season, according to UteZone’s Steve Bartle. He took visits to both Washington and Utah before deciding on the Utes.

With emergent play from Brant Kuithe and first-round NFL Draft pick Dalton Kincaid, Utah has made itself the premier destination for tight ends in the Pac-12 in recent years. The room looks to once again be stocked to the brim with talent in 2023.

Bentley will join a group that returns Kuithe and Thomas Yassmin. The Utes also signed a freshman in the 2023 class and brought in former Auburn transfer Landen King to compete at the position. Bentley’s size makes him one of the bigger-framed guys in the room.

In eight appearances for Snow College last season, Bentley brought in eight receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns. According to Bartle, he served a church mission out of high school and joined Snow College last season as a true freshman.
