Matt Leinart found out the hard way this week that he’s old.

The legendary USC quarterback turned NFL quarterback turned FOX Sports college football analyst — which is to say he’s been on TV almost his entire life — went back to USC’s campus asking random students if they knew who wore No. 11 for USC football.

“Since I’m old as hell,” he says to the camera, “we’re gonna walk around campus here and test the students’ knowledge of the old No. 11 back in the day.”

The results were incredible.

Leinart starred for the Trojans from 2003-05. He won a Heisman Trophy in 2004 and helped USC to back-to-back national championships. He was a first-round draft pick in the NFL Draft.

His No. 11 jersey is also one of six retired jerseys for the USC football program — including Carson Palmer’s No. 3, which was pulled out of retirement for the season and given to wideout Jordan Addison. Leinart is a sporting celebrity.

Just not as big as O.J. Simpson.
