Weston Port is staying close to home to play Big Ten football.

The blue-chip linebacker from California announced Sunday that he has committed to play for UCLA. He shared the big news on social media.

A standout of San Juan Capistrano (California) Hills High School, Port is listed as measuring 6-2 and 225 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Port is rated 4-stars, the No. 32 player in the state of California, No. 40 linebacker and No. 356 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Port has picked up 33 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah and Wisconsin are among the other schools that showed interest.

“UCLA has everything that I am looking for – great culture, great academics and high level football,” Port told Rivals about his decision. “The coaches have shown so much support and a vision for the kind of player I think I can become.”
