Stanford to face marquee Big Ten opponent at MLB ballpark in 2022-23 season
The first college hoops game to be played on an MLB diamond since 2015 will feature Stanford.
The Cardinal announced earlier this week they’ve agreed to a non-conference matchup with Wisconsin on Nov. 11. The game will be played at American Family Field in Milwaukee, home of the Brewers. The two teams have only met once before, a November 2018 meeting that went the way of the Badgers.

The Cardinal are hoping for a bounceback season in 2022-23 after a 16-16 campaign this past season. Coach Jerod Haase is confirmed to return for his seventh season, and he’ll get back freshman phenom Harrison Ingram for a second season. In spite of the up-and-down play last season, Stanford had flashes. A sweep of USC gave Stanford its first win over an AP top-25 opponent since 2007 and its first over a top-25 team on the road since 2014.
Ingram was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year–Stanford’s first since 2000. He averaged 10.5 points, 6.7 boards, and three assists a game. After flirting with the NBA Draft, he elected to return to Stanford for a second season.
