Preseason Pac-12 media poll announced ahead of 2023 season
The Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll was released with a little over a month to go before the start of the 2023 season. Media members picked their favorites to win the conference.
Last season’s Pac-12 winner was decided in a huge upset by Utah. The Utes knocked off USC and kept the Trojans from reaching the College Football Playoff.
Although the Trojans didn’t win the conference last season, the returning talent they have was enough to earn first-place predictions. With Caleb Williams coming back USC should be a formidable team.
Speaking of returning talent, Washington placed second in the poll. Michael Penix Jr. coming back at QB will surely help the Huskies chances.
The media did not favor Deion Sanders’ odds at finishing as one of the top teams in the Pac-12 despite Coach Prime’s efforts to change the culture this offseason. The Buffaloes were picked to finish towards the bottom of the conference.
Here’s the poll:
- No. 1: USC
- No. 2: Washington
- No. 3: Utah
- No. 4: Oregon
- No. 5: Oregon State
- No. 6: UCLA
- No. 7: Washington State
- No. 8: Arizona
- No. 9: Cal
- No. 10: Arizona State
- No. 11: Colorado
- No. 12: Stanford
