Oregon State, Washington State basketball to play in new conference as affiliate members, per report
Members of the WCC unanimously voted Thursday to add Oregon State and Washington State to the league as affiliate members in all sports except football and baseball.
The Beavers and Cougars will compete in conference tournaments and games will count towards league standings. So, if either won their conference championship at the end of the season, they would automatically go to the Big Dance. Other members of the WCC include Gonzaga, San Francisco and Saint Mary’s.

As for football, the 2 programs signed a scheduling deal with the Mountain West that will see them play their conference schedule in 2024 and potentially 2025.
