News broke on Thursday once again about Pac-12 teams involving expansion talks. Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger broke the news.

Sources told Dellenger that the Moutain West and AAC are starting to increase their pursuit of both Oregon State and Washington State. The Commissioners of both the Moutain West and American Athletic will be making their pitches to officials from both programs soon.

After this season the Pac-12 will have Oregon State, Washington State, Stanford, and Cal as the remaining teams.

Oregon and Washington will be joining USC and UCLA in the B1G in 2024. Colorado will be returning to the Big 12 next season. The Buffaloes will be joined in the Big 12 by Utah, Arizona, and Arizona State.

The future of the Pac-12 is already in limbo, but if Oregon State and Washington State leave things could become worse. Nothing is confirmed, but Cal and Stanford have been reportedly courted by the ACC.

This offseason has shown us that teams are willing to move conferences regardless of location.
