The Pac-12 remains at a crossroads, and one college football insider has outlined how the next phase may unfold.

Brett McMurphy of The Action Network discussed the state of the Pac-12 in light of realignment with the Big Ten and Big 12, and revealed how it would play out. McMurphy said on “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning” on WJOX in Birmingham, Alabama that Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado could draw interest from the Big 12.

McMurphy also referenced a Big Ten angle of Oregon and Washington receiving interest from the Big Ten, which Matt Hayes wrote about recently.

“Because of all these factors, it makes it very challenging for the Pac-12 to get their Grant of Rights done and I think the longer this goes on, the public perception is they’re coming from a place of weakness,” McMurphy said. “And if the number is not near what the Big 12 got, I think it’s a very real possibility that you could see the Arizona, Arizona State, Utah or Colorado, any of that group, or all of that group could look toward the Big 12.”
