Oregon State will face Florida in the Las Vegas Bowl.

It’ll be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Beavers (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12) will be looking for their first bowl game win since 2013. The Gators (6-6, 3-5 SEC) got off to a roaring start this season with a three-point win over Utah in Week 1, but they’ve lost four of their last six games to close out the year.

Kickoff at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC on Saturday, Dec. 17.

The Beavers have a chance to close out the 2022 season with some serious momentum. While the Gators have had a poor season, they’re still an SEC team with a brand name. A win over Florida would give Oregon State just its third 10-win season in program history, and it would see the Beavs end with seven wins in their last eight games.

Oregon State roared back at home against Oregon to close out the regular season, winning 38-34 after trailing by as many as 21 points in the second half. The Beavs did it almost exclusively on the ground, which should be the roadmap through the Gator defense as well.

Florida ranks 96th nationally in run defense by yards per carry, allowing 4.5 yards a carry this season. They’ve also given up more rushing touchdowns (26) than much-maligned Pac-12 defenses like Stanford and USC this season.
