Oregon opens as a favorite in top-25 matchup against BYU
With the Ducks returning to the AP Top 25 this week, next Saturday’s home contest against BYU will be a battle of top 25 squads.
And Oregon has opened as a slim favorite in the game. According to early betting odds released Sunday by Circa Sports, Oregon is a three-point favorite over the Cougars.

Oregon is 1-1 against the spread so far this season, with both games featuring significantly different margins than expected. As a 16-, 17-point underdog in the opener, Oregon lost by 46. Then, as a 30-something-point favorite over the weekend, Oregon won by 56.
The Cougars are 2-0 against the spread, with wins over South Florida and Baylor to open the season. For both times, the over has hit once in two games.
Oregon and BYU have played six times in their programs’ history, but just once in the last 30 years — a 2006 meeting in the Las Vegas Bowl that went the way of the Cougars. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PT on Saturday on FOX.
