Oregon LB Jeffrey Bassa isn’t done with the Ducks just yet.

Bassa announced that he’s officially coming back for another year on social media. He was a valuable part of the Oregon defense this season, finishing 2nd of the team with 71 total tackles. Bassa also accounted for 3.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 2 passes defended.

Bassa was a former 4-star recruit out of Salt Lake City (Utah) Kearns in the Class of 2021. He has played in at least 13 games each season he’s been with the Ducks.

The Oregon defense was one of the best in the Pac-12 this season. The Ducks allowed 318.4 yards per game, which was the 3rd-fewest in the conference. Having a player like Bassa coming back on defense should definitely help in that area.

Dan Lanning finished with 12 wins for the 1st time in his Oregon tenure. Last season, his team won 10 games with a win in the Holiday Bowl. He followed it up this year by beating Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl 45-6.
