Oregon is in Lubbock on Saturday night for a showdown against Texas Tech. It’s an interesting matchup for the Ducks in their nonconference schedule, and one that can help boost their Playoff résumé should they win.

Oregon holds a 15-7 lead after the first quarter, but the opening 15 minutes wasn’t without some hilarity.

As you can see below, a Ducks defender committed one of the worst pass interference penalties you’ll ever see:

Yeah, you were just a wee bit early there, buddy.

Who do we have to thank for that hilarious penalty? That’s former Alabama DB Khyree Jackson, who is now a member of the Oregon secondary.

We’re not sure what Jackson was looking at on that play, but he’s still a talented defender who will be counted on to make some big plays for the Ducks as the 2023 season marches on. Coach Dan Lanning will probably work on Jackson’s ball awareness a bit this coming week, though.
