Jermaine Couisnard is returning to Oregon for another year.

College basketball insider Jon Rothstein took to Twitter to relay word from Couisnard that he will be back for another year with the Ducks.

Couisnard was considered a redshirt senior in the 2022-23 season. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for 2020 allows Couisnard to play another season of college basketball.

A transfer from South Carolina, Couisnard joined Dana Altman’s squad for the 2022-23 campaign. This past season, Couisnard played in 19 games for the Ducks, making 16 starts.

Couisnard averaged 12.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game over 28.6 minutes an outing. He posted a season-high 27 points when the Ducks hosted Arizona on Jan. 14. In that game, he made a season-high 6 3-point attempts.

Oregon’s 2022-23 season recently came to a close with an NIT quarterfinal loss to Wisconsin.
