Fast-rising Oregon edge rusher commit re-affirms pledge to Ducks
Jaxson Jones is blowing up on the recruiting trail, but he’s locked in with the Ducks.
A former Washington commit who quickly flipped to Oregon after a visit to Eugene, Jones told Ducks Digest’s Max Torres that he’s firmly committed to Oregon as part of the 2024 class. He plans to sign during the Early Signing Period in December and enroll early.

Jones is a 6-foot-3 edge rusher from Yuma (Ariz.) Catholic. He’s a 3-star in the industry-generated 247 Composite and the 37th-ranked prospect at his position, but Jones has seen his profile trend up since initially committed to the Huskies back in September 2022.
Since October of last year, Jones has picked up offers from Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Utah, Michigan, Oregon State, and Cal.
Jones finished his 12-game junior season with 96 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks. He also had 14 catches for 159 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Jones is a multi-sport athlete, also playing basketball for Yuma Catholic.
The Ducks currently have five known commitments in the 2024 class — a group that ranks top-10 nationally.
