Dana Altman voices displeasure with 'embarrassing' attendance at Oregon's NIT matchup
Dana Altman was not happy following Oregon’s NIT loss to Wisconsin Tuesday night. The Ducks fell to the Badgers 61-58, ending Altman’s 13th season with the program.
But he wasn’t necessarily upset with the loss only. He also voiced his displeasure at the “embarrassing” number of fans who showed up to the game, estimated to be 3,300. He made it known postgame, saying “3,300 people – that’s not good enough. If it’s be, then get rid of me. If you need someone else to be a promoter, to do something… someone will hire me somewhere. I’ll go coach junior college ball.”

Dana Altman didn’t pull any punches during his postgame presser. Called it “embarrassing” that Oregon had just 3,300 fans in attendance on Tuesday.

Oregon has struggled in recent seasons under Altman, to be sure. The Ducks have now missed the tournament 3 times in the past 4 years after making the Big Dance 6 times out of 7 years from 2013-2019. The Ducks made the Final Four under Altman in 2017.
Oregon finished its season with a 21-15 record.
