BYU will be shorthanded a bit when it kicks off against Oregon.

According to BYU Sports Nation, the 12th-ranked Cougars will be without wide receivers Puka Nacua and Gunner Romney, as well as defensive linemen Tyler Batty and Earl Tuioti-Mariner. Nacua and Romney finished as the No. 1 and No. 2 receivers for BYU last year, but Nacua did not play against Baylor and Romney has yet to play this season.

The 6-foot-2 Nacua took the opening play from scrimmage this season 75 yards for a rushing touchdown in BYU’s 50-21 win over South Florida. He also had a catch for 22 yards. Last season, Nacua had 43 catches for 805 yards and six touchdowns.

Romney had 34 catches for 594 yards and three scores for the Cougars last season. He hasn’t yet played this year.

Battey has four tackles in two appearances this season. He led the team last year in sacks, with 3.5, and finished fourth on the defense with 43 tackles. Battey also had seven tackles for loss. Tuioti-Mariner has three tackles this season. He was a full-time starter last year, finishing with 25 tackles and a sack.

Kickoff is set for 12:35 p.m. PT on FOX.
