Bo Nix receives curtain call, ovation in final college game
Bo Nix went out with an eye-popping performance in his final college game, and his exit brought his parents to tears.
Nix had a sensational Fiesta Bowl win over Liberty, as he broke records for Oregon single-season pass TDs, Oregon single-season yardage, and NCAA single-season completion percentage.
Nix finished 28-for-35 passing for 363 yards and 5 touchdowns, as he left with just more than 10 minutes remaining in the game as Oregon led 45-6. His parents were shown with tears in their eyes on the TV broadcast as they applauded Nix as he thanked teammates and ran off the field.

It was a memorable season for Nix, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist, who came into Monday with 4,145 yards and 40 TDs with 3 interceptions this season. His completion rate of 77.2% was right behind the NCAA single-season record of 77.4% set by Alabama’s Mac Jones in 2020. But that was another mark that is now in Nix’ hands.
