Shedeur Sanders had a special, special day in his debut as the Colorado quarterback.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound junior became the first quarterback in Colorado program history to throw for 500 yards in a game. And he did it in his first game with the program.

Sanders completed 38 of his 47 pass attempts for 510 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in CU’s 45-42 upset win over No. 17 TCU on Saturday. The 510 yards shattered the previous school record held by Tyler Hansen (474 in 2011).

Colorado had two 100-yard receiving performances all season last fall. On Saturday, Colorado had four receivers top 100 yards. And that was all Sanders’ doing.

The son of head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders played a near-flawless game. The accuracy was on point. The decision-making was on point. The playmaking ability was on full display.
