Joel Klatt spoke about Deion Sanders debut on Monday. Colorado’s first game under Sanders ended 45-42 in favor of the Buffaloes.

Shedeur Sanders ended Saturday with 510 yards passing and 4 touchdowns. Klatt considered Sanders the best quarterback in the country for Week 1.

“Shedeur Sanders was the best quarterback in the country on Saturday. On Saturday he played better than anybody else in the country. That was an incredible performance by Sanders. He’s been a winner everywhere that he’s been as a starting quarterback. That’s the best performance I’ve seen a quarterback have in that uniform in my life.”

Sanders’ first start for Colorado ended on a high note. Upsetting a ranked team in his Buffaloes debut will surely go a long way.

The turnaround for Colorado compared to a season ago was remarkable. After all of the transfers out of the program, the Buffaloes showed what they can do against TCU.

Sanders was a 4-star quarterback per the 247Sports transfer rankings. He has not missed a beat after transferring from Jackson State.

The Colorado starting QB will have the task of facing Nebraska in Week 2. The Cornhuskers are coming off of a tough 13-10 loss to Minnesota.

Kickoff will be at Noon ET on FOX live from Folsom Field. Can Sanders continue dominating opposing defenses at the D1 level?
