Deion Sanders and Colorado received good news from the transfer portal on Tuesday as they gained a commitment from former Indiana offensive lineman Matthew Bedford.

Bedford announced the news on his X account, as you can see below:

A former 3-star recruit from the class of 2019, Bedford, a Memphis-area native, signed with Indiana over Mississippi State and South Carolina. He spent 5 seasons with the Hoosiers, making an immediate impact as a true freshman with 8 starts at left tackle and adding 7 more starts in 2020.

In 2021, Bedford saw time at other spots along the line, primarily at right guard. He started the 2022 season opener against Illinois but tore his ACL and was lost for the year. In 2023, he returned to the field, playing in all 12 games.

He opted to enter the transfer portal with a year of eligibility remaining and took an official visit to Auburn, where his former position coach in Bloomington, Darren Hiller, is an analyst on Hugh Freeze’s staff.

Ultimately, though, Sanders and the Buffaloes won out, adding an experienced offensive lineman to their roster.
