Deion Sanders has landed another transfer commitment from a player out of the SEC.

Anquin Barnes is a defensive lineman out of Alabama who started his career as a key in-state recruit. Unfortunately, he was unable to carve out a role with the program, and he hit the transfer portal following the end of this season.

Sunday night, Barnes revealed he’s on the move and will head to Colorado for his next destination. He joins a Buffs program that has been hitting the transfer portal to try and improve the roster for the 2024 season.

The 247 Sports Composite rated Barnes a 3-star prospect and the No. 16 player from Alabama for the 2021 recruiting class. However, Barnes did not see much playing time while in Tuscaloosa.

Now, Barnes will join a growing contingent of former SEC players to commit to playing for Deion Sanders at Colorado. Along the defensive line, Colorado added a fellow transfer commitment from former LSU defensive end Quency Wiggins.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Buffs picked up a pledge from veteran Vanderbilt receiver Will Sheppard and former Commodore quarterback Walter Taylor. Sheppard was an impact receiver for Vanderbilt and will get a chance to play a key role next season while Taylor saw limited action in 2023.
