Steve Kerr, Sean Elliott tease new Arizona basketball uniforms for 2022-23
Arizona will have some new threads for the new season.
The defending Pac-12 champs teased a uniform reveal on Twitter Monday in the best way. They dropped a gym bag in front of the UA’s all-time leading scorer, Sean Elliott, and a man who has an NBA championship ring for just about every finger, Steve Kerr. “These are too smooth,” Elliott said as he started to hold up a jersey before the camera cut away.
A date flashes across the screen at the end: Sept. 28, this Wednesday.

You can see a little bit of red peeking out as Elliott picks up the jersey. Safe to say the 31-second clip was effective; fans on social media are ready to see what the Wildcats will look like when they return to the court this upcoming season.
We have a sense they’ll look pretty good once again. In coach Tommy Lloyd’s first season on the bench, Arizona roared to Pac-12 regular-season and conference tournament championships. The group won 33 games — including a conference record 18 Pac-12 games — and secured a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament on the strength of what was one of the most efficient offenses in the country.
First Team All Pac-12 forward Azuolas Tubelis returns for the 2022-23 season, alongside the conference’s leader in assists, Kerr Kriisa, and the league’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year Pelle Larsson. Arizona is expecting big things from Oumar Ballo and Adama Bal as they move into larger roles, and welcomes transfers Courtney Ramey and Cedric Henderson Jr.
Fans will get a chance to see the Wildcats for the first time on Friday, Sept. 30, when the UA hosts the First Watch Red-Blue Game at McKale Center. That’ll tip at 7:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
