Arizona will play its first home conference game as a member of the Big 12 on Oct. 5 when it welcomes Texas Tech to Tucson.

The Big 12 unveiled its full 2024 football schedule on Tuesday, officially setting the stage for the conference’s new era. Arizona will officially join the league this summer alongside Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado. The Wildcats will face all three in Big 12 play, with the Territorial Cup remaining on the schedule as the final game of the regular season.

Arizona opens the season with three nonconference games against New Mexico at home (Aug. 31), Northern Arizona at home (Sept. 7), and Kansas State on the road. The game against K-State will be played on either Friday, Sept. 13, or Saturday, Sept 14, and it will not count toward conference standings.

The UA gets a bye week after the Kansas State game before officially opening Big 12 play on the road against Utah on Sept. 28. Arizona gets another bye week on Nov. 9 before closing out the regular season with two of its final three games at home.

In addition to the game against Kansas State, Arizona’s game against Houston in mid-November still needs a date to be officially set. That game will be played on Thursday, Nov. 14; Friday, Nov. 15; or Saturday, Nov. 16.
