Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels put his name into the transfer portal Thursday, according to multiple reports.

The reaction from some on ASU’s team to that decision is evidently not too positive. Video surfaced shortly after news broke of Daniels’ decision that appeared to show members of the ASU team going through Daniels’ locker while an unknown player off-camera could be heard saying “clear his shit out.”

Former Arizona State safety Jordan Simone was less than pleased to see the reaction.

Many now on social media are questioning the leadership of head coach Herm Edwards, whose status as the team’s coach going forward has been a topic of conversation for months now.

In the last month, ASU has seen resignations from both its offensive and defensive coordinators as well as departures from several other assistant coaches. The ongoing NCAA investigation into alleged recruiting violations has called into question the viability of ASU keeping Edwards on board while so many on his coaching staff have left already.

Though just a brief glimpse into one interaction with a select part of the team, the locker room video certainly doesn’t help the program.
