It is the second time Pyne has been in the transfer portal. He spent his first three seasons at Notre Dame before joining Arizona State ahead of this season.
Pyne suffered an injury during preseason and was limited to just two games this year. Arizona State shut him down in September after he played against Fresno State and USC. He finished this season with 273 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Pyne has had a successful career when he’s not dealing with injuries. He is 8-3 as a starting quarterback throughout his career. He went 4-1 against top-25 teams during his time at Notre Dame.
Coming out of high school, Pyne was considered to be a 4-star prospect. he was the No. 225 player nationally and the No. 8 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2020 according to 247Sports Composite.
