Devan Cambridge revealed Saturday that he would be returning to Arizona State for his final season of eligibility, a huge victory for Bobby Hurley and Co. He’s able to play a 5th season in college because of the Covid-19 eligibility rule.

The Auburn transfer had easily his best season in college in 2023, as well. He was a legitimate option on offense for the Sun Devils and strong in the paint, boasting State’s top 2-point percentage as a power forward. He was also Arizona State’s best offensive rebounder and created a lot of 2nd chance opportunities. Cambridge scored 15 points in Arizona State’s NCAAT win over Nevada.

Cambridge’s brother Desmond, perhaps Arizona State’s best player last season, is out of eligibility and will not return for the Sun Devils next season.
