Arizona State could be nearing a major addition to its 2023 recruiting class.

On Wednesday, 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong filed a Crystal Ball projection for Arizona State to land 4-star quarterback Jaden Rashada.

Wiltfong also discussed Rashada’s recruitment during 247Sports’ National Signing Day broadcast.

“I love the way this is really trending for Arizona State,” he said, citing Rashada’s pre-existing relationship with new head coach Kenny Dillingham.

Rashada’s recruitment has been a wild ride. He was committed to Miami for much of the cycle before flipping to Florida and eventually signing with the Gators during the Early Signing Period. However, Rashada ultimately was released from his commitment to Florida after his NIL deal reportedly went sideways.

If Arizona State is able to sign Rashada, it would be a huge pickup for Dillingham and his staff entering Year 1. He’s the No. 82 overall player and the No. 7 quarterback in the class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Wiltfong also said he believes Rashada may announce his decision soon. He can officially sign with the Sun Devils as early as Wednesday.

“I love where Arizona State is positioned with Jaden Rashada and I think we may know something soon,” he said.
