Arizona State landed not one but two well-regarded second-year transfers on Saturday. First, former USC running back Raleek Brown revealed his commitment to the Sun Devils. Several hours later, Florida safety Kamari Wilson announced his commitment to ASU.

Wilson, like Brown, was a top-50 recruit in the 2022 class who comes to Tempe with three seasons of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Wilson played right away for Florida in 2022. He started twice in 13 games, finishing the season with 39 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup. He played in only three games this fall — the first three games of the season — before deciding to save the season as a redshirt. He had only one tackle.

ASU looks to be in good shape at safety heading into the 2024 season. Shamari Simmons should be back. Xavion Alford will also be eligible after sitting the year in 2023.

Given the Florida connection, ASU quarterback Jaden Rashada seems particularly excited about the addition to the room.
