Cal’s 2023 football schedule has been released.

The Golden Bears get six home games, a first-ever meeting with Auburn from the SEC, and a visit from USC in its final season in the Pac-12.

Cal opens the year on the road against North Texas on Sept. 2. The game will feature the debut of Eric Morris as the North Texas head coach. He spent the 2022 season as Washington State’s offensive coordinator.

The conference slate opens with a trip to Washington to battle the Huskies on Sept. 23.

Coach Justin Wilcox’s group then hosts Arizona State (Sept. 30) and Oregon State (Oct. 7) in back-to-back weeks. Then it hits the road to face the two-time defending Pac-12 champion Utah Utes. The Bears have traveled to Salt Lake City three other times since Utah joined the league, with all three games ending in a Cal loss.

The Bears go into their bye week after Utah, then host USC after the off week.

Cal travels to Stanford on Nov. 18 for the 126th Big Game. It closes out the regular season with UCLA on the road. Senio Day is set for Nov. 11 against Washington State.
