Arizona has earned a verbal commitment from Long Beach (Calif.) Jordan running back Jordan Washington.

A 5-foot-10, 170-pound running back out of the 2024 class, Washington is one of the top players at his position already this cycle. He holds offers from Washington State and Oregon, as well as Fresno State, Colorado State, Hawaii, and San Jose State.

Washington ranks as the 11th-best running back in the class, according to the 247 Composite. He’s a top-150 prospect overall and the 16th-ranked recruit from the state of California.

A two-sport standout, Washington is one of the top sprinters in the state. He finished second in the 100m at the CA State Track Championship with a 10.44 time. He posted four other sub-10.4 times during the year and has a personal best of 10.31 in the 100m.

As a junior this past season, Washington ran for 1,388 yards and 17 touchdowns on just 103 rushing attempts. That averaged out to 13.5 yards every time he ran the football. The year prior, as a sophomore, Washington had 829 yards and 10 touchdowns while also totaling 76 tackles and five interceptions on the defensive side of the football.
